Welcome Message:
As the president of the 11th congress of Middle East Society for Organ Transplantation (MESOT) I am honored to invite you to participate in this great endeavor. This is the second time Iran is proudly hosting the prestigious MESOT congress. MESOT has come a long way since its establishment in 1987, by joint efforts of Turkey, Iran and Kuwait and despite ever-existing political turmoil, now has two decades of scientific accomplishment and effective promotion of collaboration among regional countries. This auspicious regional commitment and dedication heralds a promising future for academic excellence and quality patient care. Meanwhile setting valuable standard towards international recognition for a region long praised as the cradle of human civilization. The 11th congress will be held in the elegant city of Shiraz, where the spectacular remains of Persepolis, the capital of a vast empire built by Cyrus, Darius and Xerxes, whose names still echo through history, and other dazzling historic monuments can be visited in a short distance. The forthcoming meeting of MESOT offers a unique opportunity to exchange new ideas in the field of transplantation medicine. We wholeheartedly wish participants a pleasant stay in this country and cherish the exemplary hospitality of the people of Shiraz, while enjoying the rich cultural heritage of several millennia. |
